Its time To Let Go

I grew up here on this little southern Indiana farm. Less than 100 acres...but, Dad made it work. I pity people who missed growing up like I did. I was born in 1958. I love this place. It's alot of work for an ole woman on her own. Just to keep the grass mowed and the roof sealed! My dad had a 1954 John Deere tractor. 60 series. He loved that thing....I inherited the farm along with my brother. He's decided it's time to sell it. It really breaks my heart. About 8 years ago, I was bush hogging and had to stop and get ahold of my young son. The parking brakes didn't hold. Dad's tractor went over the hill and somehow managed to make it's way down a tree covered hill into the creek. the front end was broken completely off on this huge rock in the creek. The saddest part was that not a month before the accident, I'd spent over 2300 getting Jon rebuilt and he was at his best! He looked GOOD too!! There is just something about the way it sounded ! Just like when I was a kid and dad was out in the field on it! Ever since then, he's been in the corner of the barn. I stored him as best as I could. Up off the ground. Always hoping, I'd find the frame piece I needed to put him back together. But, God had other plans for me...my health has been going down hill ever since. In October, my son took my pickup for a joy ride and totaled it. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt. But, I need a truck badly...living on disability is tough. There is no extra for a vehicle. My question is this...can I sell Jon for enough money to buy myself a truck? I hate to do it...but, I could part it out? It has a road gear too. Would anyone out there be interested in any parts? I even have the origional manual that came with it. So, if anyone out there might be interested in a 1954 60 series John Deere, please email me? Thank you for your time.
