Brother did it

Trying to remember back 50 years is hard to do except sometimes things stick.I was 6 and my brother Tim was 4.We lived in a small town in Wisconsin and it was a tradition on Sundays we went to visit Grandparents on the farm and had chicken for dinner.Every Sunday chicken.I remember Grandpa always had tractors parked around the farm and it was always fun to jump up on one and pretend to drive it.One of our favorites was a John Deere A with a loader on it.Well this is my story and I am sticking to it -it was Sunday,we had eaten our chicken and Tim and I were playing on that John Deere A.There were two levers on the steering column and I can see Tim and I jerking those levers back and forth.One was for the gas and one for the shutters.We did not know that.We were not to bright at 6 and 4. Well this is were it gets interesting.The old A had a electic start with foot start pedal.Anyone remember those?Push the gas lever again and step on the starter.Well you guess it I was sitting on the driver seat turning the steering wheel going no where and brother Tim stepped on that starter.KABANG that tractor started and away we went straight at the garage.Tim and I looked at each other with bulging eyes and he jumped off.Chicken.The loader was half up and I was driving towards the garage.The garage was concrete block half way up the wall and wood the rest of the way.Well me not knowing nothing and driving this monster keep going straight.The tines on the bucket hit the block wall and pushed it in and kept going.The tractor finally killed when the front wheels hit the fondation.There I sat on that old A with the steering wheel froze in my hands and wall push in and the rest of the wall sitting on the loader and hood.I remember looking around being 6 with that steering wheel still in my hands and there stood my Grandpa,my mom and dad,brothers and sisters and that brother Tim.What the H... happen here Grandpa yelled.I yelled and cried TIM DID IT as he stood there next to mom hanging on to her leg,eyes still bulging.
