Wish I still had em | Back in April of '71 I was a Sophmore in high school and I bought my first real tractor. It was a '59 JD 730 Diesel. It was a nice tractor, and I thought it was great owning such a nice tractor while still in school. In June of '73 I had just graduated and rented 360 acres of farm ground. I was at the local JD store picking up parts for the JD G that I had bought in the fall of '71, and I saw a new JD 4320, it was a '72 but it had sat on the lot for a year. I went out and looked at it, neat tractor, and it only had 6 hours on it. I bought it and farmed with it for 3 years, then I saw a 4620 for sale at the same dealer with only 600 hours on it (also '72 model) and I traded the G in on a partial trade for it. I farmed with the 730, 4320 and 4620 until '81 when I traded in the 4620 on a 4640 since I was now farming 700 acres. I had the 4320 until '91 when I traded it for a 4555. Today I farm 1200 acres and farm with that 730D, a 720D, a '71 4520, '72 4020, the '81 4640, an the '91 4555. I do still miss the 4320 and the 4620 and the G and wish I had them back. The generator was shot as well as all the wiring. I dropped off the tractor expecting a transformation from a 6 volt to a 12 volt system utilizing the original generator housing, and a total rewiring of the whole tractor. The front end center pin bushing was worn also so I ask that they replace it if they had time. Well, that’s wha
