My Old W-4 International Tractor | I'm 74 years old and my W-4 Tractor will be turning 60 years in 2004. I have owned it for many years. A few years ago I decided to have it restored. It looks almost as good as new now. I wish I looked as good. There's something about starting that old tractor in the Spring and working up the ground that really lifts your spirits. Every fall when I store it at my brother's place I wonder if I'll be around to drive it the next spring. I grow a little bit of sweet corn and have a vegetable garden now, so it doesn't work as hard as it used too (like me). It's sort of like an old friend that never complains about the cold, heat, rain or snow. I also have an old IHC 2-row Corn Planter with steel press wheels. I don't know how old it is, but it still does the job. I live in the city now but still love to get out and do a bit of farming on a friend's land. I guess the old saying is correct. You can take the boy off the farm, but you can't take the the farm out of the boy. The front end center pin bushing was worn also so I ask that they replace it if they had time. Well, that’s wha
