My loader tractor is a IH1066. Anyone who has ever owned one knows the tendency to rapidly wear the outside edge of the tires, especially with a "loose" front end.
I don't row crop with it any more, the little bit of row crop I still do is with my Ford 5000 row crop.
All the 1066 does is hay, TOO many miles on chip seal blacktop and flint rock roads. At least 2/3 of the miles on it are nothing but road miles, I actually run the Mower-Conditioner with the Ford most of the time. The 1066 does the big round bales, Ford does the smalls. In other words, no real time in the fields for the 1066.
Instead of putting 11L15 fronts back on it only to wear them out roading, at about $150 each, can I use 31x10.50-15 or 32x11.50-15? I can pick them up used CHEAP.
If I go that route, can they be tubeless, or will I still need to use tubes? DOUG
