I use old camp trailer frames they are pretty heavy duty and have tandem axles and brakes. I clean them down to bear frame and the use 2X12s cross ways for the new floor. I have put a frame up on the front of one that really helps in holding the hay on also gives one a way up and down when you stack five or six high. Its a low cost but very nice trailer for anything heavy. One trailer had boxed frame, I found some Pop rivets for 5/15 bolts online and used them to secure the wood. Metal decks are way to slippery for hay. Walt
