Field corn needs about a lb of N for every bushel produced. So if you want 75 bu of sweet corn, you could expect to maybe pull 30-40 lbs from the ground (wild guess without a soil test); you added how many lbs of 10-10-10? And so you need to add whatever is short. Corn doesn"t need as much P & K. So, you need to know what the soil has in it on it"s own, or add about 20-40 lbs of P & K to make up what the corn will use during the year. You said you used 10-10-10 at planting, but you didn"t say _how much_ you used, would need to know that to help any - and how big your plot is. Typically sidedressed in a band is the better way to go on acres of corn. For such a small plot likely won"t matter if you broadcast, as long as you don"t burn the corn with hot (N) fertilizer in the whorls. --->Paul
