If the stalks are in good shape, corn can plow under beautifully. If the stalks are all beat up, blown down, and tough it might be better try chopping them a few days before you plow, but it will still be a mess... The bracket for the wire trash guard looks like it would attatch to the coulter. I have tried hanging wire everywhere, but it has never made a huge difference. Sooner or later, the share would cut it off. The rod style looks a little more hopeful. They must go through an existing hole in the plow frame. I have never seen a set, much less tried them. I wonder where the guide attaches.
