I asked the parts guy at the local JD dealer about the 1010s when I was looking at tractors to buy. There was an ole farmer at the desk at the time. He looked over his shoulder and said to stear clear of them, he said the 1010 was the worst tractor Deere ever made, the ole guy at the counter said the only tractor that may be worse was the 2010. I don't know how true that is because I have not owned either. Good luck.
