You can perhaps rock the tractor in gear, enough to free off the starter. We are presuming you have voltage at the starter motor terminals when energised? Your previous post was a little lacking in detail as to whether the battery leads were contacting adequately at both ends, voltages, whether the starter is in need of renewal, or any other detail which may help a diagnosis. Be careful if you loosen bolts and operate the starter, as you might make things worse - like bending the armature shaft. Don't know about yours, but some starters have a lug which can be spannered, to turn the bendix out of mesh (or check whether it is free or in mesh). Regards, RAB
