53 golden jubilie red tiger engine

replacing head gasket, this is my first time. i am trying to replace a head gasket on my ford, everything is lose except what looks like two oil tubes that run through the head and down through the block, do you have to disconect them somehow before you can lift up the head all the way up and out, can someone please help me, thank you stan
