Folks, I'm interested in getting a tractor to both use & eventually restore. I've only got a couple acres, so i'm not talking major usage, just piddling around (moving dirt, mowing, pulling hay wagon, snow removal, etc...). I'd like to get an old tractor thats both functional and somewhat easy to restore (finding parts...). My dad had a 1951 Oliver 77 growing up, and I seen an old Oliver (early 50s, wide front, w/loader) for sale, and the guys asking $2k. Its been sitting there a while and runs, but other than that it needs some sheet metal work... Any way, got any thoughts on a good tractor to get started with? This Oliver doesnt have a 3-point, & I was thinking that would be nice. Any advice would be apprieciated!!
