I had a guy call me about my green plums we sell every year. He saw the u-pick ad on Craigslist and said he had been looking for some of these for years. I am in Birmingham, AL and. He is in Baton Rouge, LA and he cant find them. He wanted to buy 3 baskets and I was able to fit them perfectly in a "tomato box. 25.2 lbs. I got him 3 rates for Saturday/overnight delivery since they are perishable. I also got quotes for Monday Delivery. The shipping quotes rom USPS, Fed Ex, and UPS for (3) 8-quart baskets of plums ranged from $132.00 to $226.00. I know it is a 1 or 2 day delivery but oh my gosh why so much!?!? What a ripoff!!! Do any of you know how I could ship them affordablly?? I think he is gin a resale them in his store too.
