A while back, hg Tom posted that he had a Hydra Power for a 1750 that he wanted out of his shed. We talked and I said I would come and get it. Fall harvest lasted a month longer than I planned, so I hadn't been able to go get it yet. Today I didn't have to work, so I left home about 8:45 and drove Ia. Hwy 92 from Muscatine to Tom's place west of Winterset, Ia. 199.8 miles when I pulled into his driveway. Got her loaded and paid for and he had work to do so I got out of his way and drove home. Thanks again, Tom, pleasure to meet you. From Muscatine to Washington, there were a few fields of corn to combine yet, and from about Knoxville west there were a few field left to go. Saw some beans to cut, but looked like they had been underwater and there were DEEP ruts in the fields around them. A few guys combining on the way home. Several fields had been newly tiled. Stopped at Fareway in Muscatine for some breakfast cereal and got home a little after 6. Good trip, traffic was light and only saw 1 tractor on the road. A good day for a ride. Chris
