Had the knife bar break on me after the first two acres of ten. After trying to weld it and it failing I called the Father-in-law and after a few hours had his JD 7220 with 9 foot disc mower at the house to finish the first patch before dark. It was quite nice having AC and a radio and going about 7 mph rather than 2 or 3. Only thing is it did not lay the hay down as nice as my sickle mower, kinda windrowed it a bit. But is was nice when I went to get the little slivers of hay left I didn't need to worry about plugging. Told the wife "I want one". That lasted like an icecream sandwich in you know where.
