Yesterday afternoon at a friendly local small town Chevy dealer, I scored a 2000 Chevy X cab, short box, 4x4 pickup, 207K miles, 5.3 engine, and so loaded I probably haven't found all the goodies yet for $3500.
No rust, only negative is a dent in the tailgate, but the gate still works fine. I can either fix this tailgate or put a new aftermarket one on for maybe $150.
The miles don't scare me as I seldom put over 3,000 miles a year on a pickup, but when I need one, I need one.
The dealer had just traded for it, and hadn't even washed it yet so I'm guessing I just gave him his trade-in allowance for it.
