The old pickup seat was getting pretty shot so I thought I"d pick up a used seat at the junk yard. They had one from a roll over that was in real good shape, and so I bought it. After I got it installed, it occurred to me the airbag had deployed in that rolled pickup. And on the used seat I harvested from it are two seat belt sensors. So now I wonder if they have been "tripped". I don"t want to plug them in and set off my airbag! Any way to check them? I"m assuming they are a simple switch that closes when "tripped", and they show no continuity between the two pins now. And neither do the ones in the old seat (there is only two wires to each sensor). I suppose I could swap the sensors just to be sure, but it looks like you have to do quite a bit of work to get them off. Any ideas?
