I just cannot get over people not shutting these things off, pulling the key or battery kill switch, no different than factory machinery with emergency kill switches, 'cept farm equipment does not have these features, its up to you, and is why people make such a bad decision, you have to be right out of your mind to get physically close to any kind of running equipment even remotely similar to this.
When I was a kid, my long time friend/neighbor dairy farmer whom was in full swing as a dairyman in those days had a retired farmer friend on the sileage blower, he chopped all the corn then, baled a lot of hay like 20,000 small squares, and I believe chopped alfalfa too, been a long time to remember, but he planted all of our ground then.
The retiree was loading a silo, got sucked in, caught or what have you, was cut in half at the waist if I recall, if not correct don't matter, it was fatal, and I am not sure what the heck happened, I've never spoke of it or asked him, neither has he, but a good friend of his mentioned it just to me at their 50th wedding anniversary, he lived down the road and was on the rescue squad, was at the scene, we just heard the sirens from our place, ugly situation, and a tragic loss, they were good friends.
