Both the final housing, and the axle housing must be supported individually. The gasket can be eliminated, and black (or blue) RTV can be used. The bells will slide out enough to clean the surfaces if you are careful. Some use a new gasket and split it at the top, then use a dab of RTV to close the gap. Do not over use the sealant or it will squirt out into the system. Other than that, the bull gears would need to be removed from the axles to allow removal of the entire housing and axle. Doing it with the wheel and tire on is more challenge. Axle removal is able to be done through the PTO hole if you are small armed. Block up the bull gears to allow much easier insertion of the axles when going together. Jim
