It is a pipe plug, used to lock pump from turning when serviceing pump. They went to a hex plug with a hole in the end for a locking pin. Don't ask me why as I never locked that model pump when working on them. I doesn't lead to a pressurized galley but it goes right into the sump that is running in oil from your engine. Just plug it up, and of course, see how much oil you lost. I have seen the idle adjustment plunger fall out and lose the engine oil but not that plug.
