I have a 1948 Super A that has a gas leak problem. gas leaks from the bottom of the Zenith type carburetor to the tune of about a cup in five minutes. The engine turns over and dies. Next to the drain plug at the bottom of carb there is a brass insert with a hole in the center. gas seems to be coming out of there. Can only stop the flow by cutting off the gas supply. Checked linkages of throttle and choke; cleaned and checked carburetor, looks ok to me, but I'm no super A mechanic. Where do I look next? I want to get back in the saddle again! thanks.
