When I bought my 1947 Farmall H last year I noticed a threaded rod had been bent over the steering shaft just under the throttle plate. I thought possibly the pin that holds the support in the post was broken. The threaded rod was caught under the light support bar. When I decided to work on this situation I discovered the support was broken off down in the post before you get to the pin. For a temporary fix I fastened an angle bracket to the post with a U bolt then used another U bolt over the top of the collar to fasten everything on. It is pretty solid right now but I intend to advertise this tractor pretty soon after I get it painted and I would like to have a permanent fix at this point. Any of you guys parting out a H that still has this post I would like to hear from you and have any of you had this problem. Thanks Ed
