I would very much like to put some sort of live two-way hydraulics on my M. Can someone advise on what "strategies" or how I could do this?
For the pump: I was thinking of buying one of the new ones available that fit an MTA by the distributor. From my research, I would also have to get a late model front engine cover and plate so that the mounting holes line up?
I would use the original Lift All reservoir, put an elbow on the drain plug hole, and use that for the inlet to the pump.
Not too sure what to do for the control valve. You can find on ebay the original IHC 2 way remote control valve that mounts on the Lift-all inlet pipe. But these don't have a relief valve. I have seen people mount standard hydraulic valves on the light bar, but I don't really care for this arrangement.
Are there any live hydraulic kits for an M available out there anywhere?
If someone has ever done this, I would appreciate your expertise. Pictures would be great also. Thank you!
