Recently a friend of mine bought some property, and with it he inherited a Farmall H. I was elected to get it running. I know very little about red, so I will need some tips. Why are there vertical rotation slots on the distributor assy.? Is this for timing, or is this for ease of point installation? Presently, it is rotated outward, and it looks like the hood is rubbing on the coil wire. (The coil wire has been wraped in black tape) This may be the source of the bad miss. Also, there seems to be no adjustment for the generator belt. It to seems to be rubbing on the hood. Any help on these items would be appreciated. Thanks
