Recently rebuilt this engine. It now has a slight miss. Not really noticeable at idle, but worse at higher RPM. At the moment of miss it also emits a puff of white or light gray smoke. The head was checked for cracks and is OK, but has a crack on the outside running from #1 to #2 injectors. No water leakage from here though. Someone in the past had removed one of the injector pre combustion chamber(pre cup) by driving out with a punch, roughing it up in & around the fuel opening. What effect will this have on the engine ? Have another pre cup that has a hairline crack that I could use. What effect will a cracked pre cup have on engine ? No doubt some of you guys can diagnose this for me. Thanks for any and all replies !! David.
