Tim: I'll pass along a little tip an IH serviceman gave me many years ago. When IH built these tractors white automotive grease that is used on car door latches, hood, trunk, etc., hed not yet been developed. He advised me to use that for lubricating the distributor drive. Especially beneficial here in Canada and our cold winters, but he recomended it for summer as well. Stays in the gears better than regular grease. I don't use grease zerks. I buy the white grease in squeeze tubes and once a year I remove the plugs on distributor drive and put it in the hole with squeeze tube.
