When were the front wheels made to slope in the V shape, and why? Didn't the very early tractors have the front wheels just kind of flat? Any truth to the idea of this configuration originally being a marketing ploy during The War as a "V for Victory?" One would think the reason they were made this way was for clearance in between the rows, but the large rear tires also had to travel in between those same rows. Would it have been just for easier manuverabilty and to make it easier to see what you where you were guiding your tractor? Thank you very much for your ideas and help. T.T.F.N.
