Hello, I own a farmall a crank start that I'm having problems with starting. This is not a problem at the initial startup. if the tractor sits a day or a reasonable amount of time.(MANY HOURS)its starts like its brand new. Let me explain. 1. I.ll give it 1 revolution with the choke completely closed. The next 1/2 revolution it fires and runs like a bear. this happens 905 of the time sometimes I need to give it another 1/2 revolution. 2. I can run it and use it all day but if I shut it down for any reason,I can crank all day and it will not start up again PERIOD. This would include choke completely closed, half closed, wide open, different throttle settings on the handle.Ether in the air intake, fresh gas.etc 3. At this point I have checked for maybe a weak spark or some problem electrically. I have a great blue spark that will jump to contact about 3/8 inch. Its a mag and not a distributor. 4.What I'm asking for is any information from anyone who may have had a similar problem. You can use my e mail address if that would be better for you or I will be checking this forum daily
