Sounds like a D-360. It was in what was called the 300 series, along with the D-312. Those engines were used in a few 65-90 horsepower tractors in the 70's and early '80's, as well as trucks and buses. I'm not sure, but they might still be producing the 360 today. Mabey you're more familiar with the more common 400 series- 414, 436, and 466. The 300 series is basically just the scaled-down version of those engines.
