Hi Grant, I have a 674 and this same thing happened to me last night. I don't know if our tractors are similar or not, but mine has the shifters next your left leg. What I found was that the linkage at the bottom part of the shifter(about a foot down below the handle) for high/low range, neutral and reverse had gotten out of position. I stuck my hand in there and wiggled the linkage around and it popped back in place with no damage done. Hope this is all that's wrong with yours. Good luck!
