If you are looking on the tag located on the right side of the seat support you may be looking at the maximum rpm's. If I remember right it is 1815. When I bought my second C the sale bill said it was a 1948 because that was the only number that they could read on the tag. The number embossed on the side of the block beneath #1 spark plug showed that it was a 1950.
