A prev. owner of my H had had the u bend in the middle. It was worn a little thinner right where the swinging drawbar rode. He got a salvage bar and cut it off just past the corners, right before where the angled braces attached. Then he welded it to the bottom of the u-bar so that the holes line up. You have to do sort of a double take to see what it is, that it's not just a bar as thick as it should have been from the start. Since I use Mr. Haney mostly for pulling a trailer, often a somewhat over loaded dump trailer, I took the roller off the swinging drawbar and made a strap to hang it by, also welded half inch bar stock to the bottom to help carry the weight, and to keep it from bending while backing.
