We recently acquired our first Super A. Drug it out of the briar patch, wheels stuck, engine stuck, etc, but mostly all there, down to the oil gauge, mag, carb, etc. For now, we've just poured diesel into the cylinders through the plug holes and intake. Yesterday I was taking a look at it and noticed the lift bar is connected to the fenders. I did a double-take and looked again--the rod comes from the hydraulic lift unit to the rock shaft which pivots on two mounts, one on each fender. These mounts also have grease fittings on them. The fenders seem to be a casting--not regular stamped sheet metal. This is our first A model. It was advertised as a Cub when we came across it and purchased thinking it was a Cub. The loading process occurred at night and in the rain. Anyway, thanks to some of you fellows, I learned that it was actually a Super A. (This was posted close to a year ago.) Are all A models set up this way--with "load-bearing" fenders??
