I see a seal + retainer that is replaced with just a new seal number 149345R91, and spring washers (2) 355476R1 in the parts book. I have seen the sloppy input shaft you're talking about, but the only ones I have here to look at at the moment are not showing that slop. Both are rusted, one is a later (230/240) unit with I think more beef around that shaft, and the other is low use off a power unit, again too rusted to see the details at the moment. It appears that the spring washers are not needed in the later governor housing. Stan(VA).
