Well, I decided to do a couple of little projects on my '40 H today. I Started out by taking the loader off and leaving it in a heap next to the shed. WOW, I can turn the wheel with one hand now!! Next I put in a set of spark plugs and just for fun took her for a spin down the road. It's really fun to drive now, without the loader!! I decided I might as well fix the cracks in the fan shroud as long as I was in the mood to tinker with it. Upon removal of the radiator, I found the mounting pads to be worn out (not surprised!). How thick should these pads be? Also, the locating pins on the bottom of the radiator are 1/2" bolts that didn't have any nuts on them (they appear to have broken off 30 yrs. ago). Are they supposed to have nuts on them? Any info will be appreciated.
