Hi all, This summer I'm finally going to make the switch to detergent oil in the Super M, now that its finally mine. I figure its been run 30+ years since its last rebuild with non-detergent in it. So on that line I'm thinking it might be a nice idea to drop the oil pan and scrape some of the gunk out. The question is, how much of a pain is it to put it back. I'd need a new gasket right? Remember theres no garage where I'd be working, this is strictly shade tree mechanics. Any other advice for the detergent switch? I figure to change, run for 10-15 hours then drain and drop the pan. Then fill up again. The oil hasn't been changed in at least 4 years that I know of, and the tractor only gets run maybe 10 hours a year. It looked okay last summer, but definately needs changing.
