need help on cub

I have an old cub, I checked the rear diff. gear oil level yesterday, it was low, so I put 90 wt.oil in it. this morning I went to the shop an there was a big puddle of, you quessed it, gear oil. It seems to have come from where the right brake rod is in the axle housing. what is wrong and how hard to fix? any help appreciated,tks Nat
