Greetings: I went to look at a 340 utility with front loader recently near Rochester, NY. The guy selling wanted $2,850. From my eye the tractor was beat. Both rear tires were shot and one could not hold air (so it could not be driven to check the rear end). No muffler, seat shot, all guages destroyed and non functional, no muffler, fenders destroyed, only one light worked, loader hydraulics leaked badly, etc., etc. I was thinking it would cost me $2,000 and six months of weekends to get this machine back to fully working condition. Am I missing something, or is almost $3,000 for a broke down tractor way too much? I think the machine sold because it was listed in the want ads for less than a week. Your thoughts are most welcome.
