I put in new plugs in my A 50 hours ago and they are now black. I know that the valve guides are warn, it blows oil out the breather under load. Is the black deposit on the plugs oil, or is the the fuel mixture too rich? If it is fuel mixture, my air filter is clean; however I repaced the carb 8-10 years ago. Could the carb have too large a main jet? Yes this spark plug condition has been going on for as long as I had the tractor. I clean the plugs evey few hours and replace once or twice a year. I am running Champions D-21. I tried AC plugs they were worse. Thank in advance for you help Dave Ulm
