1957 720 John Deere Row Crop Gas NF

1957 720 John Deere Row Crop Gas NF
I recently bought this tractor at an auction. The farmer that sold it bought it new in 1958. It is the best original condition 720 that I've ever seen. The farmer even went so far as to use black caulking to seal the lights from moisture and dust. He told me that the tractor was rained on three times as long as he owned it. It's all original showing 77?? hrs on the tach. The farmer had performed all of the maintainence over the years. The pto was converted to the newer improved style and the power steering also. The engine was bored .045 over and rebuilt about 12 years ago(a plus is that I personally know the mechanic that did the work, so I know that it was done right). The 3-pt was rebuilt, according to the farmer, about 2 years before the engine. It runs like a million...nothing better that that idle put....put......put.......at 350r.p.m. It has nearly new 14.9-38 rubber also. I have the front mounted cultivator, dual tires, and the remote cylinder. I plan on using it on the farm for awhile and then beginning the restoration. Yes, if you're wondering....I'm very proud of her.
