So Long Dad. | Lost our Dad to cancer this winter, and the world is a different place without him in it, it seems. A much emptier lonelier place, I'd just as soon have waited many more years. Cancer dosn't care about our wants and needs though, unfortunately. It just does as it pleases, while it grows. If you can hear me now Dad, or read my thoughts somehow, you'll already know, I have no intent whatsoever of letting you down, now that I'm also grown. Those three you'd picked, although never that quick? Will be there that day, to run in the parade, and fly their colours for you themselves and all others, their true character along with your own dear Dad? That one day again, will show! I love you Dad! You knew that, didn't you? R. Nickel, from BC, entered 2001-05-17 |
