Hi:

Tractor running hot. I checked water level and found oil in radiator. Traced problem to transmission. I believe problem to be heat exchanger on top of the transmission.

Is the heat exchanger repairable?

Is that the only place where coolant and transmission fluid can mix?

Any recommendation for cleaning out the radiator and block to flush out the transmission oil?

Same question for cleaning out the transmission but to remove the water?

The Agco books imply a change at Serial number 196 205 and my Serial number is 198 209 but I cannot see any difference. Should there be?

Thanks

Hi:

I lack the knowledge to really answer the question.

The section of the AGco books which matches what I see is the GROUP C - HYDRA-POWER DRIVE which is
https://na.apb.agcocorp.com/p/white/43307800/l/46?

This page refers to part no 103133A Heat Exchanger and matches what I see above the transmission.

Thanks

Kind of figured that's what you have, just
wanted to clarify. As far as the cooling
system, water side, you could drain
radiator and block, then add a diluted
solution of Simple Green, 3:1 mixture, run
until it is good and warm or operating
temp and drain the system. Generally works
first time, although I have done one two
times to get it clean. As for the hydra-
power, I would just service it same as an
oil change.

Hi:

Thanks, I was hopping the answer would be a detergent degreaser. Now it is on to the fixing part. It does not seem to be a way to get the heat exchanger apart without destroying it. It also looks like this part is now obsolete. Any ideas where to source a replacement?

Do a Google search for Oliver 103133A.
Should come up with Wengers, and it shows
they have reconditioned units.
