Tiring day!

Finally got around to getting some slow leaker and some tires changed around that I have been putting off for a while now. I have a new firestone radial to go on the 1850, I think the 1550 needs a new tube, and intend to get two new tires for the 1655. Question is should I invest the extra in firestones for the 1655, or go for the cheaper petlas or galaxys or maybe middle of the road goodyears? My concern is anything but firestones seem to weather crack in short order. It is pretty hard for me to keep tractors out of the sunlight year round as I often have loads of square bales in my tractor sheds waiting to sell or get unloaded thruout the summer. I think I have answered my own question, but it might be hard to dig that deep in my wallet tommorow when I find out what firestones are worth? Anyone have good luck with anything but firestones? I probably wont go for radials if they are much more than bias. The only reason I have the radials for the 1850 is they came with a deal on a tractor.

In my opinion, if it's a tractor you plan to keep and use, get the Firestones. Although, they will cost more, but like you said they won't weather near as quickly as the cheaper ones.

Titans and god also and cheaper than Firestone. Them off shore tires u save on but in the long haul not worth the trouble and dont stand up.

We have a set of BKT tires in our 1750. Bias. Used only for haying and them seem decent. My brother put Firestone bias on his 1755 and they were pricey. He also put 3 rib 11L-15 on the front a year or 2 before the rears. They were Firestones. After a year or so he started having problems with cracking and splitting. They were put on by a local tire guy who does a lot of ag work. He wouldnt warranty them because my brother could not find the receipt. Thats the story I heard. Theyre still on the tractor, but sure dont look too great after only 5 or 6 years. Yes it does sit outside. That tractor is also only used for hay.
