Oliver 77 PTO clutch housing.....

Im having trouble installing my housing; I took it off to replace the lever assembly and now trying to get it lined up and slid together....grrrr....any help ?

Don't get angry, but is it possible that you put the lever in upside down?

Throw out bearing keep turning sideways? I've cleaned them up and stuck a little piece of masking tape on them. Tape ends up in the housing, but who'll ever know?

Yeah it keeps turning...- long lever seems to keep getting n the way! Plus I cant see inside there

It can be frustrating because you have to do everything in the dark, I find that if I allow the handle to go as far forward as possible and then move the cover up and down until I feel it engage the ears on the throwout bearing. After I feel it engage I push the cover forward and allow the handle to come back to the rear. Then I screw a couple of the 3/8 bolts in from the bottom.

Yes the lever goes up on the outside, but did you have to take fork off in the inside? Just a thought.
