This is where the lift arm attaches, does this have to come out

to remove axle housing or is it part of the housing? Thanks ,
Chris

I finally got it out this afternoon.I had to heat the snot out of it and jumped on a 3' pipe wrench, but it came loose. Got the pin and bolts out, now the housing doesn't want to come out. I have beat on the housing with a BFH and tried a chisel along the joining surfaces and nothing. Am I missing something? I have replaced axle bearings on my 1850 that came apart easier than this one. Chris

Your replacing the inner bearings I assume so you have the transmission cover off ?--Remove the snap rings on the axles & pull the axles out--Take the bull gears out & put a short hydraulic between the axle housings & jack them apart---They are hard as hell to remove, but if you beat on them with a BFH you can break them---Don't ask me how I know--LOL !!--Good luck & if you need more help, let me know---Kent Gordon, Palestine, TX 903 729 8349

Thanks, I wouldn?t have thought of doing it that way. So I need to take both axles out to push the housing out? If they come out that hard, how do you get them back in? Are you on Central Time? I may need to call you. Chris
