my 6 cylinder diesel is miss firing on one cylinder valves properly adjusted pump timing check how do I located the problem cylinder 265 cid waukesha

Have seen several answers to this varying from loosen injector line, the one that doesn't create additional miss is the problem. Another way is take off exhaust manifold and look at each port. Maybe a thermal gun, look for the cooler area on exhaust manifold. I would imagine others will have additional ways.

After finding the problem cylinder, as above ideas, you then need to determine if it is injection or valves etc. Swapping the injector from the defective pot with a good one will suffice, if no test gear is available and the fault is not obvious. If not injection, a compression test seems in order.

Those 2 gave you good advice!. It must be a 1600 and if it is I would loosen the exhaust manifold and slide it up so it is above the ports and see which cylinder misses and swap that injector out. No fuss no fuel leaks, just wear ear plugs!. Questions?

When my 1550 was missing you advised me to check to see which exhaust port wasn't wasn't warming up when cold started, worked like a charm I replaced #1 injector and
all was well.
