for whatever reason i forgot to release the parking brake, cause its not set up right and tractor still moves. but what happened is worked with it for a bit then smelled oil. checked and now oil leaks between diff. housing and brake housing on left side. after sitting few days all the oil drips out. i am puzzeled how come hyd. oil is leaking there when a person would think diff oil should be leaking from there. really getting disgusted with this tractor. is there some seals in there i burnt up due to brakes getting hot??

Does the brake still work? When I got my 105,the discs were worn so thin that when I stepped down hard on the brake while I was planting corn that it blew the piston that actuates it right out of the end of the cylinder. No huge deal, just needed new discs and new O-rings in the cylinder.

yes actually the brakes worked very good , not quite the same as before though. just wanted an idea whats going on before i get into it. im not hard on brakes either.

They do. PTO clutch, Steering, Brakes, 3pt, and SCVs all are same hydraulics. The PTO and brakes go through a pressure reducing valve down by the filter first, but it's all off the same pump.

Had this happen to a 2-105 back in the early 80's, driver ran it with the parking brake on until it was very hot.

in the image you will see o-ring # 25 , that is between the brake housing and the trans housing . looks simple to replace, read the IT manual for replacement, the procedure is a two man job and many hours.

after that I disabled the parking brake.
