Cockshutt 560 Diesel seized

there is 560 diesel that is seized with a cab. what can I try to loosen this motor ? will pouring diesel into injector holes help to loosen it? this is a different tractor than the one in my other post.

Might help if it is just stuck, but it could have seized for a number of reasons. I had to knock out a seized piston on my old oliver with a large
lump of wood and a heavy sledge hammer!

Thanks much. Just debating whether I should take a chance buying it. I can get it for $400, so wouldn't lose a lot on it. it has a cab on it. I'll peobably take it & pull the head on it. hope I can find a head gasket for it.

You also need to know the first year 560 tractors used the L-4 Perkins engine while the later ones used the 270 Direct Injection Perkins engine. My e-mail is open. J.

HEAD gaskets are available but of course not as good as the old ones. These engines seem to seize pretty easily for some reason as I have taken several apart. Parts are hard to find especially the correct bearings and are very expensive. Phil Heisey has a lot of those parts. Your best bet in my OPINION is a product called Engine Release from Canada they have a web site. The tractor is easily worth $400 and I would not hesitate to buy it. I would like to see some pictures and have a serial number. thanks Irv

well since it has a cab theres nothing you can do . now if it did not have a cab it would be fixable .***************

Thanks for all answers, and thanks Phil, I will be in contact with you once I find out what parts I will need.
this farmer has the 2 tractors for sale. the one runs real nice, decent tires but the power steering assist is not on. He said something happened to the power assist so he replaced the front end with a manual steering I bought this tractor for $700, it also has a circulating block heater. I am going to put a snow blade on it.
He also has the tractor that is seized, it has a cab and power steering assist on it. so initially I was thinking of buying it just for the cab & power steering, then sell the other tractor, either get it running or for parts.

A lot depends on why it is locked up. If from water in the cylinders not likely to free it up with out a engine rebuild. If locked due to sitting for years good chance it can be freed up. Or if locked up due to a seal going bad in the injection pump depending on how much it was run that way may determine if it will free up. If it was me I would do a wick test to make sure it did not have water in the cylinders. If there dry then I would mix turpentine and ATF 50/50 and fill the cylinders and put the injectors back in and then pour as much of that mix down the exhaust pipe till it would hold no more and let it sit a week or so

I picked up the 560 diesel that is running, but I will have to pick up the seized one at a later date. the wiring is all in bad shape on the one I brought home. I started a separate post on it.
The model number is supposed to be on the right side of the frame. but I can't see it anywhere so I can find the year of the tractor.
