Steering pivot pin on Super 55

Will be working on a broken front frame of a Super 55 soon. Photos shown is the replacement frame. Couple of questions: Before I tear into this, what are all the parts that I need? Are they still available from AGCO? If so, anybody got the part numbers? Last question: How much fun will I have getting that old pin out?

I seem to remember that pin being expensive a long time ago. A neighbor broke one,got one form a dealer and had his son in law,who owns a machine shop, make one for him using the new one as a pattern, then he took the one back to the dealer.

I have access to a 120 ton press, although I'm not really liking how this conversation is going. :)

Drill the pin and weld it from the bottom to the top. It will then shrink enough to remove. Very unlikely a HSS twist drill will do the job - needs a carbide cutter. You may be able to flame cut a hole in the pin, but likely not?

Probably easiest to leave to a machine shop, with a large milling machine available, than struggling with it.

I replaced my front axle pivot pin on 10/10/2013. AGCO part number 107113A - $113.00

Plus I had a machinist bore the axle and install a bushing since that was worn too.

Good Luck
