8N Oil galley pipe plugs

I want to pull the oil galley pipe plugs and run a bore brush through it to get all the crud out of it. Both the front and rear plugs are straight screwdriver type plugs. The rear one is brass the front one is steel. I tried removing them with an impact screwdriver without much luck. I dont wanna strip the screwdriver slot. Im thinking about heating them up slightly letting them cool then try removing them. Does anybody have any advice or tricks for removing them?

I was able to remove the front one on my block using a hand impact driver and appropriate bit. That is
the only method I know of. I did not try to remove the rear one. The oily galley was a lot cleaner than I expected. I sprayed brake cleaner in the galley and
ran a .357 copper gun cleaning brush through it. A .410 seemed too tight but is recommended in some
repair videos. I sprayed some more brake cleaner in it and the little red tube blew off and went right into
the oil galley. I was able to get it out by tipping the block straight up and down.

heat them up, or smack them a few times with a similar sized flat punch to shock the threads. I replace them with brass internal hex grub screws.

I've used a nail set to get stuck screws and bolts to budge by tapping them in the direction to start uns
crewing. A properly sized one will decrease the hazard of ruining the fastener. A properly sized tip in an
impact driver might help.

I was finally able to get the plug loose with an impact screwdriver. It was fairly clean inside. I ran a bore brush through it so Im gonna call it good
